Drunken Driver Crashes Into Tree: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter
The Buffalo Grove resident was also charged with failure to reduce speed and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

- Aliaksandr Ivanou, 39, of the 600 block of Hapsfield Lane, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 7:22 p.m. May 29, in the 700 block of White Pine Road. Police said an investigation revealed that Ivanou had crashed his car into a tree. He was released following his arrest and assigned a court date of June 26.
- Danylo Kozak, 18, of the 100 block of Pauline Avenue, Buffalo Grove, is accused of DUI alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, disobeying a pedestrian control signal, speeding over the statutory limit, and was arrested at 2:43 a.m. June 1, in the 1300 block of Lake Cook Road. He was released and assigned a court date of July 16.
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED/SUSPENDED
Rogelio Cruz, 51, of the 1200 block of Spur Court, Wheeling is accused of driving on a revoked license, using an electronic communication device while driving, illegal transportation of alcoholic liquor, obstructing identification, and was arrested at 11:36 a.m. May 30 at McHenry and E. Lake Cook roads. He was released and assigned a court date of June 21.

INCIDENTS
THEFT
- Police responded to the 100 block of Forest Place at 2:13 p.m. May 30, for a reported theft. The complainant told police they had left the lawn mower in the front yard near the curb of the street. When they went to the backyard to retrieve something, they returned to find the lawn mower missing.
- An employee of a business in the 1100 block of W. Lake Cook Road called police at 2:22 p.m. May 31, to report her MacBook had been taken from her office while she had left the office to go down the hall to speak to a coworker.
- Police responded to Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway, at 12:16 a.m. June 1, for a report of a theft. The victim told police they had parked their electric scooter at the bicycle racks located on the west side of the store and later returned to find it missing.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Police responded to the 60 block of Willow Parkway at 6 a.m. May 31, for a report of criminal damage to property. The complainant said that during the overnight hours of May 31, the driver's side window of his car had been shattered and there was broken glass on the ground next to the car.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
Police responded to the 800 block of Hollystone Lane at 9:13 a.m. June 2, for a report of a residential burglary. The victim said that during the overnight hours, someone had entered their home and stole various items.
HARASSMENT BY TELEPHONE
An employee at Shalom Kosher Bakery, 1165 N. Arlington Heights Road, reported at 9:52 a.m. June 2, that someone keeps calling and making rude and offensive statements.
