4 Women Steal 16 Bottles Of Liquor At Jewel: Buffalo Grove PD Blotter
The bottles, valued at $434.84, were concealed in their purses, according to police.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
THEFT
Police responded to the 300 block of Hastings Drive at 6 p.m. May 23, for a theft report. A complainant told police he had lost his money clip containing $150. When he arrived back at the area where he lost it, he found the money clip, but the money was missing.

RETAIL THEFT
- Police responded to Walgreens, 15 N. Buffalo Grove Road, at 10:37 p.m. May 24, for a retail theft report. An employee told police two people stole alcohol and miscellaneous items, valued at $278.92.
- Police responded to Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway, at 12:47 p.m. May 25, a retail theft report. An employee told police that two people went through the self-checkout lane and scanned $79.59 worth of product. As they were checking out, they did not scan $120.19 worth of product and left the store without paying for it. Both were given adjudication tickets and trespass warnings.
- Police responded to Jewel, 79 McHenry Road, on May 25, for a retail theft report. An employee told police that four women entered the store at 11:08 p.m. the prior day and concealed 16 bottles of alcohol, valued at $434.84, amongst their purses. The women left the area in a dark-colored SUV.
- Police responded to Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway, at 3:37 p.m. May 25, for a retail theft report. An employee told police that a woman had left the last point of sale with merchandise, valued at $24.95, that was not paid for. Police identified the subject, who was issued a local ordinance adjudication citation and was trespassed from the store.
- Police responded to Jewel, 79 McHenry Road, on May 25, for a retail theft report. An employee told police two men and one woman entered the store at around 10:19 p.m. The male put six bottles of alcohol, valued at $339.94, into a six-pack beer carrier. He then put a plastic bag over the container and walked out of the store without paying. The three subjects left the store at around 1:26 p.m., got into a black four-door vehicle and left the area.
- Police responded to Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway, at 4 p.m. May 26, for a retail theft report. An employee told police that a woman was in the self-checkout lane and purchased some items in her cart. The offender completed her transaction and walked past the last point of purchase without paying for multiple items in her car, which were hidden by the purchased items. She also failed to pay for a stolen item hidden in her purse. The total value of the goods was $99.52. She was trespassed from the property for one year and was issued an adjudication citation.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
Police responded to the Four Points by Sheraton, 900 W. Lake Cook Road, at 12:33 p.m. May 27, for a residential burglary. Upon arrival, police met with the complainant, who said someone had entered his unoccupied room and stole miscellaneous items.
FIRE
A resident in the 1200 block of Bristol Lane reported at 7:33 p.m. May 29, a fire. Smoke was coming from an attic of a home. The Buffalo Grove Fire Department arrived and put out the fire. The resident was able to return home.
