Arrested Woman Escapes Cops At Hospital: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter
The homeless woman was being treated at Northwest Community Hospital following a warrant arrest.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
POSSESSION OF A FRAUDULENT ID CARD

Anthony David Garduno, 21, of Racine, Wisconsin, is accused of possession of a fraudulent identification card, and was arrested at 9:03 p.m. Jan. 19, in the 2100 block of Lake Cook Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 22.
DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

Jose Ruiz, 47, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 4:06 p.m. Jan. 21, at E. Lake Cook Road and Hastings Drive. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 16.
ESCAPE FROM A PEACE OFFICER
Stephanie Erin Schwab, 42, homeless, is accused of escape from a peace officer, and was arrested at 7:16 p.m. Jan. 18, in the 800 block of W. Central Road. According to police, Schwab was at the police station for a bond forfeiture for retail theft warrant arrest, when she requested to be taken to the hospital for a pre-existing medical issue. She was taken to Northwest Community Hospital by the Buffalo Grove Fire Department. While waiting for treatment, Schwab escaped from custody and exited the hospital on foot. Police were able to locate her a short time later. She was treated and released back to the police station. Schwab was assigned a court date of Feb. 23.

INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
Police met with employees at Walgreens, 1701 N. Buffalo Grove Road, at 9:09 p.m. Jan. 17, for a report of a retail theft. The employees said three females stole three bags of merchandise before getting in a dark-colored sedan. The employees were not sure what direction the vehicle went.
