Authorities Investigate Natural Gas Leak That Forced Route 83 Closure

LONG GROVE, IL - A natural gas leak along Route 83 in Long Grove forced authorities to close the busy highway in both directions for over an hour on Monday evening, according to the Buffalo Grove Countryside.

Now, authorities are trying to figure out what caused the natural gas leak, which was reported by employees at 83 RV, 25514 N. Route 83, and was caused by a damaged meter in a parking lot, according to the article.
No one was injured in the incident.
