Des Plaines Motorcyclist, 20, Killed In Mount Prospect Crash
Scotty J. Stuck was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital after the crash involving a motorcycle and SUV, police said.
MOUNT PROSPECT, IL — A 20-year-old Des Plaines man died following a Saturday night crash involving a motorcycle and SUV on Rand Road in Mount Prospect, police said.
Scotty J. Stuck was identified by Mount Prospect police as the motorcycle driver killed in the crash, which happened at around 10:01 p.m. Saturday, June 20, on Rand Road, also known as Route 12, near Henry Street.
A Mount Prospect police officer came upon the crash and found Stuck southeast of the intersection with serious injuries, police said. Stuck was taken by the Mount Prospect Fire Department to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he was pronounced dead.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said Stuck died from multiple blunt force injuries from a motor vehicle collision. His death was ruled an accident.
The preliminary investigation showed Stuck was riding southeast on Rand Road approaching Henry Street when his motorcycle collided with a Subaru SUV on Rand Road, according to police.

The Subaru was driven by a 33-year-old Mount Prospect man, who was not injured in the crash.
The fatal crash remains under investigation by the Mount Prospect Police Department Major Crash Investigation Team, with assistance from the Major Case Assistance Team’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team.
Rand Road was closed between the private driveway for Texas Roadhouse and Central Road before reopening at around 6:22 a.m.
The Mount Prospect crash happened the same day two people died in a separate motorcycle crash in Schaumburg. In that crash, officials said two people were killed Saturday after a motorcycle crash in the area of Golf Road and National Parkway.
