Bingo Night, Duck Race Return For Buffalo Grove Days

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Bingo, ducks and thousands of dollars in prizes will be part of this year's Buffalo Grove Days festivities.

The Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove will once again host Bingo Night and its annual Duck Race during the five-day festival, which runs Thursday through Monday, Sept. 3-7, at Mike Rylko Community Park.

BINGO NIGHT

Rotary Bingo Night will take place Thursday, Sept. 3, under the main pavilion in the center of the festival grounds.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the first game beginning at 6:30 p.m. There will be 10 games and a total prize purse of $1,600.

Bingo books will cost $5 each or five for $20 at the door. Only cash will be accepted.

Shuttle service to the festival grounds will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday to accommodate bingo players. Only vehicles displaying disability parking placards will be allowed to park on-site at the festival grounds.

DUCK RACE

The Rotary Club will also sell ducks throughout Buffalo Grove Days ahead of its annual Duck Race on Sunday, Sept. 6.

More than $3,000 in prizes will be awarded to 13 winners, with $1,500 going to the winning duck.

Ducks can be purchased through the Buffalo Grove Rotary website, at the festival information booth or from a Buffalo Grove Rotarian.

The race will be livestreamed at 5:15 p.m. Sunday on the Buffalo Grove Rotary Club's Facebook page.

"Buffalo Grove Days is a wonderful opportunity for our Rotary Club to bring people together for some fun while also supporting causes that make a difference in our community and beyond," Rotary Club President Jason Davis said in a statement.

Proceeds from Bingo Night and the Duck Race support the Rotary Club's charitable and service efforts in Buffalo Grove and the surrounding area.

The club, founded in 1974, supports programs including hunger relief, school and safety initiatives, park improvements, student exchanges and other service projects.
