Buffalo Grove Police Release Halloween Safety Campaign Results
The enforcement campaign took place from Oct. 16 through Oct. 31.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — As part of the statewide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns, the Buffalo Grove Police Department announced Wednesday the results of its recent Halloween traffic safety enforcement campaign.
In all, police issued 26 seat belt and child safety seat citations, in addition to 14 citations for speeding, distracted driving (cell phone use) and other traffic violations between Oct. 16 and Oct. 31.
According to police, extra emphasis was placed on enforcement during late-night hours, when statistics show the most unbuckled and impaired driving fatalities occur.

The recent law enforcement campaign was paid for by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
