Buffalo Grove Police Step Up Traffic Enforcement For Thanksgiving 2023
The safety campaign begins Friday and runs through Nov. 27.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — With the Thanksgiving holiday right around the corner, the Buffalo Grove Police Department announced it is joining other agencies across the state with an increased traffic safety enforcement effort. The campaign begins Friday and runs through Nov. 27.
The effort to get holiday travelers to buckle up and drive sober is part of the "Click It Or Ticket" and "Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over" campaigns.
"Thanksgiving means more vehicles on the road and an increased risk of crashes," Buffalo Grove Lieutenant Tara Anderson said. "No matter how long or short your drive, remember to buckle up and make sure children are in a safe seat. By buckling up and planning for a sober ride home, you help everyone have a safe and happy holiday."
