Bail has been set at $50,000 for Lamont Glenn, of the 1000 block of Ranchview Court, who is charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon, felony unlawful possession of a firearm, and a misdemeanor count of not having a firearm owners identification card. Due to the nature of the crime, prosecutors said they decided to charge the Stevenson junior in adult court, according to the article.

Lincolnshire police were called to Stevenson on Friday after a student texted a parent to say a classmate had a gun and the parent then tipped off police, the newspaper reports. Glenn was located in a classroom and the gun was found in a nearby backpack. No one was hurt and Glenn did not share with police what his intentions were with the gun.
