BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE

  • Arturo Neri Melquiades, 24, of the 1900 block of Green Lane, Palatine, is accused of driving on a suspended driver's license, failure to remain at the scene of a vehicle damage accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 6:20 p.m. July 2, at Arlington Heights Road and Checker Drive. A court date of Aug. 15 was assigned.
  • Alan Syrkhaev, 23, of the 1200 block of Union Court, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a suspended license, obstructed front windshield, improper window tinting, and was arrested at 8:32 a.m. July 3, in the 500 block of E. Aptakisic Road. A court date of July 18.
  • Timurulla Sabirzhanov, 19, of the 1400 block of Evergreen Drive, Palatine, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no seatbelt, and was arrested at 3:52 p.m. July 3, at Dundee Road and Oak Creek Drive. A court date of Aug. 8 was assigned.

NO LICENSE

Pedro Salas Roman, 38, of the 2200 block of Nichols, Arlington Heights, is accused of having no license, operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended, operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic communication device, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper registration, no valid registration, and was arrested at 10:56 a.m. July 4, in the 1200 block of W. Dundee Road. A court date of July 18 was assigned.

Police responded to Subway, 1008 Weiland Road, at 2:37 a.m. July 3, for a report of someone smashing the front picture window of the store and removing a cash register from the business.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

It was discovered at 3:11 p.m. July 3, that a small area of the turf at Green Lake Park, 1101 Green Knolls Drive, was burned through unknown means.

RETAIL THEFT

A male stole nearly $60 worth of groceries at 11:26 a.m. July 3, at Woodman's, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway. The person was issued a retail theft adjudication ticket.
