Pair Nabbed With Cocaine, Drug Paraphernalia: Buffalo Grove PD Blotter
The driver and his passenger, both of Buffalo Grove, were arrested on various drug-related charges.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

- Christopher L. Larson, 31, of the 800 block of Old Checker Road, Buffalo Grove, is accused of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (cocaine), possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and was arrested at 5:06 p.m. July 31, at Bernard Drive and Melinda Lane. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 5.
- Jesse J. Smith, 31, of the 500 block of Beechwood Road, Buffalo Grove, is accused of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (cocaine), possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, suspended driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, expired registration, and was arrested at 5:06 p.m. July 31, at Bernard Drive and Melinda Lane. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 1 was assigned.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Evelyn S. Diaz, 18, of the 600 block of Piper Lane, Prospect Heights, is accused of felony aggravated driving under the influence, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol by driver, accidental damage to property, and was arrested at 12:28 a.m. Aug. 1, at Dundee Road and Oak Creek Drive. Police said Diaz had struck a light post on the parkway and found it laying on the ground with partial debris on the roadway. She was assigned a court date of Aug. 21.

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE
Rodrigo Salgado-Guzman, 20, of the 1500 block of Norway Lane, Palatine, is accused of driving with no license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, tinted windows, and was arrested at 7:08 p.m. Aug. 2, in the 100 block of W. Dundee Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 16.
RETAIL THEFT
Valentina Orozco, 30, of the 800 block of Cambridge Place, Wheeling, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 6:59 a.m. Aug. 4, at Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway. She had been caught passing the last point of pay without doing so, with a grocery cart full of products, valued at $343.04. She was assigned a court date of Aug. 19.

THEFT
Police responded to the 300 block of Didider Court at 7:47 p.m. Aug. 1, for a delayed bicycle theft report. The complainant said his daughter's bicycle had been stolen from the front of his residence the prior day, where she had left it after using it.
