Burglars Smash Windows, Steal Money At Half Day Road Businesses: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Jesus Rivera Manzo, 43, of the 1600 block of Tahoe Circle Drive, Wheeling, is accused of driving under the influence, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 12:48 a.m. July 7, at Buffalo Grove and Aptakisic roads. A court date of Aug. 13 was assigned.
• Kevin K. Koonce, 19, of the 1500 block of N. Herald, Melrose Park, is accused of DUI, no registration lights, and was arrested at 12:10 a.m. July 10, in the 1100 block of Dundee Road. A court date of Aug. 13 was assigned.

DRIVING ON A REVOKED LICENSE

Daniel Arreguin, 29, of the 4100 block of Jennifer Drive, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving on a revoked license, failure to yield turning left, and was arrested at 3:52 p.m. July 10, in the 50 block of N. Buffalo Grove Road. A court date of Aug. 15 was assigned.

CRIMINAL SEXUAL ABUSE

Pradeep Kumar Verma, 69, of the 100 block of W. Fabish Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of criminal sexual abuse (unable to give consent), criminal sexual abuse (use of force), battery, and was arrested at 12:24 p.m. July 11, in the 700 block of W. Fabish. A court date of Aug. 1 was assigned.

NO VALID LICENSE

Stenson Boboaca, 28, of the 9000 block of Kennedy Drive, Des Plaines, is accused of having no valid driver's license, two child restraint violations, not wearing a seat belt, and was arrested at 7:51 p.m. July 13, in the 1200 block of W. Dundee Road. A court date of Aug. 15 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

RETAIL THEFT

A male stole a bottle of vodka at 2:53 p.m. July 14, at Walgreens, 1225 W. Dundee Road. He was identified and given an adjudication ticket for retail theft and trespassed from the property.

BURGLARY

• The front window at Everything Games, 404 W. Half Day Road, was smashed at around 3:41 a.m. July 15, and over $100 was stolen.
• The front window at Anandi Fashion, 392 W. Half Day Road, was smashed at around 3:41 a.m. July 15, and over $1,000 was stolen.
• The front window at Papa Johns, 384 W. Half Day Road, was smashed at around 3:41 a.m. July 15. At the time of the report, it was unknown if anything was taken.

THEFT

An electric bicycle was stolen between 8:30 a.m. and noon, July 15, in the 800 block of Port Clinton Court.
