Car Stolen From Residential Driveway: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter
The victim said their vehicle was parked in the driveway and was stolen between April 4 and April 5.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

- Tommy Wilson Johnson, 31, of Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, is accused of driving on a revoked license when ignition interlock device is required (class 4 felony), improper turn signal, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 8:56 p.m. March 27, in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road.
- Armando T. Avalos 21, of the 100 block of Meadowdale Street, Carpentersville, is accused of driving on a suspended license, driving 15-20 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 5:31 a.m. April 5, near McHenry and Devonshire roads. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond and was assigned a court date of May 12.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
- Brian Vincent Sammons, 30, of Middle Village, New York, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 2:06 a.m. April 2, in the 700 block of E. Lake Cook Road. He was released after posting a $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of April 19.
- Susan T. Calabrese, 63, of the 900 block of Landmeier, Elk Grove Village, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 9:26 p.m. April 5, in the 1100 block of Bernard Drive. She was released after posting $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of May 1.

INCIDENTS
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
Police responded to the 400 block of Stillwell Drive at 7:45 a.m. April 5, for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim said their vehicle was parked in the driveway and was stolen between April 4 and April 5.
RETAIL THEFT
- Police were called to Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway, at 1:35 p.m. April 5, for a retail theft. Employees said a female had traveled past the final point of sale with two bags of soil without paying. The female told police she forgot to pay as she pushed her cart toward the exit. She was issued an adjudication ticket for retail theft and warned not to return to the store for one year.
- Police responded to Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway, at 2:23 p.m. April 5, for a delayed retail theft report. CCTV captured a female that stole $80 in merchandise.
