'ComEd Worker,' Others Burglarize Home: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter
While a man posing as a ComEd employee lured a resident out of their home, others went inside and burglarized it, according to police.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Kelly M. Jones. Jr., 26, of the 0-10 block of E. Judith Ann Drive, Mount Prospect, is accused of driving with a suspended license, not wearing a seat belt, and was arrested at 6:18 p.m. March 23, at McHenry and Lake Cook roads. They were released after posting bond and were assigned a court date of April 12.

- Omar Teran, 30, of the 160 block of Chariot Court, Wheeling, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol with a suspended license, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a revoked license, and was arrested at 7:36 p.m. March 23, in the area of Lake Cook Road and Lexington Drive. He was taken to the Cook County Jail and was assigned a court date of April 12.
- Freddy Antonio Sanchez Perez, 34, of the 2700 block of Westwood Drive, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, speeding (25+mph over the speed limit), operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 1:23 a.m. March 26, at E. Lake Cook Road and Hastings Drive. He was released after posting $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of April 12.

INCIDENTS
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
- A resident in the 200 block of Navajo Trail reported at 11:11 a.m. March 22, they had left their home for a few hours and had returned to find that it had been burglarized. Personal items were taken from the home.
- A resident in the 200 block of Willow Parkway called police at 5:34 p.m. March 21, to report their home had been burglarized. The resident said they had been lured outside by a man posing as a ComEd worker. While the victim was outside, other people entered the house and burglarized it. Personal items were taken.
THEFT
Police responded to Villa Verde Drive at 9:24 p.m. March 22, for a reported package theft. The complainant told police a package that had been delivered by FedEx to the apartment complex's vestibule had been torn open and the contents taken out.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Police responded to the 1200 block of Ranchview Court at 3:28 p.m. March 24, for a criminal damage to property report. The victim said someone began to ring the doorbell and kick the front door. Once the subject left, the victim found the front door damaged.
VANDALISM
While conducting a premise check of a W. Dundee Road property at 6:07 p.m. March 26, police found a door on the east side of the building that had recently been spray-painted. Two boards on the southside of the building had been pulled off the window, allowing access to the building. Police contacted the owner, who said they would have maintenance workers board up the windows. Police did not find any other criminal damage inside the building other than the graffiti.
