College Credits: Buffalo Grove Resident Leads Bowling Team

Howard Part of National Tournament Qualifying Bowling Team

Rebecca Howard, a native of Buffalo Grove and graduate of Buffalo Grove High School, is a member of the 2021 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team, which punched its ticket to the United States Bowling Congress' Intercollegiate Team Championships Sunday by placing fourth at the ITC Addison (Ill.) Sectional at Stardust Bowl. The Warhawks claimed the fourth and final qualifying spot from the sectional, moving up from fifth place after the first day of competition and erasing a 131-pin deficit on the final day. UW-W finished Sunday's second block with a score of 3,836 to total 7,587 for the weekend over a span of 40 Baker games. UW-Whitewater will compete at the Intercollegiate Team Championships for the first time since the 2016-17 season. This year's ITC is scheduled for May 5-8 at Spectrum Entertainment Complex in Wyoming, Mich. Howard, a freshman at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in human performance.
