District 21 Assistant Superintendent Takes New Job
Lynn Glickman, assistant superintendent for human resources, has been hired as Community Consolidated School District 46's superintendent.

GRAYSLAKE, IL --A administrator with Community Consolidated School District 21 in Wheeling will be leaving her post after being selected as the new superintendent for Community Consolidated School District 46 in Grayslake. The District 46 school approved the hiring of Lynn Glickman at its Jan. 16 school board meeting. Glickman will take the reigns on July 1, 2019.
Glickman has served as the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources in Community Consolidated School District 21 in Wheeling, a pre-K through eighth-grade public school district with 11 schools serving more than 7,000 students, for the past 14 years.
District 46 picked Glickman following a national search conducted with the assistance of the Libertyville based educational search firm BWP & Associates that produced approximately 47 qualified applicants from diverse geographic and professional backgrounds.

“The Board of Education is thrilled and excited to have Dr. Glickman join District 46 as its next superintendent,” said District 46 Board of Education President Steven Strack. “After meeting several outstanding candidates, we felt Dr. Glickman was the best fit for the District 46 community. Her experiences in Wheeling closely reflect the qualities that were outlined in the superintendent search profile for Grayslake 46. Her friendliness, enthusiasm, energy, and passion for children as well as her systems approach to creating a strong organization, will be well received by the students, staff, and families in our community.”
Over the past 16 years, Glickman has served in a variety of leadership roles in District 21 as well as in East Maine District 63, Des Plaines. She was hired as a principal in District 63 and then promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources in 2009. In 2014, she was hired by Community Consolidated School District 21 in Wheeling as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.

Glickman began her administrative career as a principal in Community Consolidated School District 96, Kildeer/Buffalo Grove.
Glickman holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Illinois. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Illinois as well.
CCSD 46 serves parts of the villages of Grayslake, Third Lake, Hainesville, Round Lake, Round Lake Park, Round Lake Beach, and Lake Villa.
The district is comprised of seven schools. Four kindergarten through fourth-grade neighborhood schools – Avon Center, Meadowview, Prairieview or Woodview, one kindergarten through eighth-grade neighborhood school – Park Campus, one fifth and sixth-grade intermediate school – Frederick, and one seventh and eighth-grade middle school – Grayslake Middle School.
