Best Friends Pet Care in Prairie View will, for the fifth year, host a special feast on Thanksgiving Day for family pets boarding over the holiday. The meal will include freshly roasted slices of turkey atop turkey-and-rice dog food, trimmed with green beans and carrots, with a sweet potato biscuit for dessert.
The holiday fun kicked off Wednesday morning, when clients arriving with their pets were greeted by the aroma of turkey slow-roasting in the lobby. Best Friends staffers donned chef’s hats and left no detail unattended as their special guests arrived.
Best Friends staff also shared the meal with the homeless pets boarding with them from Midwest Rescue, Foster 2 Home and Young at Heart.
