Driver Flips Off, Throws Object At Car: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter
The complainant said the driver of a minivan had cut her off prior to the exchange.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Sindy Mariely Padilla Mejia, 33, of the 4100 block of Bonhill Drive, Arlington Heights, is accused of operating a motor vehicle with no driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, having no headlight, having illegally tinted windows, and was arrested at 7:36 p.m. Oct. 17, at N. Arlington Heights and W. Lake Cook roads. They were released and assigned a court date of Nov. 15.
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED/SUSPENDED

- Donald Shahini, 37, of the 200 block of Iris Drive, Streamwood, is accused of driving on a suspended license, unlawful use of a license, speeding 15-20 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 4:56 p.m. Oct. 18, at E. Lake Cook Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 23.
- Anthony A. Tan, 38, of the 500 block of S. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, having illegally tinted windows, obstructing the front windshield, and was arrested at 5:48 p.m. Oct. 19, at W. Dundee and Old Buffalo Grove roads. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 15.

INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
- Two residents in the 400 block of S. Buffalo Grove Road reported on Oct. 17 someone had broken the sunroofs on their cars. Both said it didn't appear anyone went inside the vehicles and nothing was missing. Police found the sunroofs shattered into multiple pieces.
- A resident in the 200 block of Golfview Terrace called police at 5:59 a.m. Oct. 17, to report their card had been broken into through the sunroof. It was unknown if anything was taken. Police saw that the sunroof window was shattered. Camera footage showed at 2 a.m. several people dressed in black breaking the sunroof. They can be seen exiting the vehicle through the sunroof before leaving the scene in a dark vehicle.
- Police responded to West Dundee Road and Golfview Terrace at 4:47 p.m. Oct. 19, for a criminal damage to property report. The complainant told police that at earlier, she was traveling west on Dundee Road, west of Golfview and east of Weidner Road, when a female driving a white minivan cut her off. The female then gestured her middle finger toward the complainant and threw an unknown object at her passenger door. The object caused paint removal and a dent on the door. The female continued westbound and the complainant lost sight of her around Route 53.
THEFT
A resident in the 600 block of Maple Drive reported at 4:02 p.m. Oct. 18, someone had stolen their package, which had been delivered earlier in the day by FedEx. At 1:25 p.m., a vehicle parked in the front of the residence took the package off the porch and ran back to the vehicle.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
Police responded to the 800 block of Weidner Road at 5:02 a.m. Oct. 19, for a motor vehicle theft. Police found broken glass in the parking lot. Contact was made with the car owner, who confirmed the car was missing and had last been seen at 3:30 a.m.
