Driver Punches Out Window Of Other Driver: Buffalo Grove PD Blotter

After breaking the window, the subject got back in their car and drove off, according to police.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REGISTRATION

Andres Zamora, 28, of the 1400 block of Jackson Street, Chicago, is accused of driving on a suspended license, failure to reduce speed, an expired registration, and was arrested at 4:45 p.m. June 22, at N. Arlington Heights and S. McHenry roads following an auto accident investigation. He was released after posting bond and was assigned a court date of July 14.

Klaudia Kieta, 26, of the 0-10 block of Middlebury Road, Barrington, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, using unsafe tires, and was arrested at 1:19 a.m. June 24, near Buffalo Grove Road and Bernard Drive. She was released after posting bond and was assigned a court date of July 12.

INCIDENTS

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

  • A resident in the 100 block of E. Fox Hill Drive reported that at 2:30 a.m. June 21, he was awakened by loud noises at the front of his house. He looked out his bedroom window to investigate the noise and saw several people down the street in the eastbound direction. In the morning, when he went out to check the vehicles parked in the driveway, he found the windshield, rear window and passenger side exterior mirror of his car had been shattered.
  • Police responded at 7 a.m. June 28, to the 1200 block of Weiland Road for a criminal damage report. A complainant told police someone exited their vehicle, approached the driver's side of the complainant's vehicle and punched the window, causing it to break. The offender then drove away.

RETAIL THEFT

Police responded to Walgreens, 15 N. Buffalo Grove Road, at 10:54 p.m. June 22, for a retail theft report. An employee told police two people placed various merchandise into bags and left the store without paying.

BATTERY

Police responded to Extended Stay America, 1525 E. Busch Parkway, at 11:59 p.m. June 25, for a battery report. The complainant told police he was battered by another male that was trying to get into the building.
