Drunken Construction Worker Nabbed At Site: Buffalo Grove PD Blotter

A 911 call had been made regarding an impaired driver at a construction site at E. Lake Cook Road and Lexington Drive

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

OPERATING A VEHICLE WITH NO LICENSE

  • Oscar Espinoza Campos, 57, of the 100 block of Indian Trail, Lake in the Hills, is accused of operating a vehicle with no driver's license, no front registration plate, and was arrested at 2:09 p.m. Nov. 6, at N. Arlington Heights and W. Dundee roads. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 13.
  • Hawer Elian Chavarro-Chilatra, 23, of the 2200 block of W. Nichols Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of operating a vehicle with no driver's license, having an expired registration, and was arrested at 9:35 p.m. Nov. 7, at E. Lake Cook Road and Lexington Drive. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 13.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

Valgas D. Etheard, 31, of the 100 block of Clyde Avenue, Evanston, is accused of driving on a suspended license, an improper lane change without signal, operating a vehicle with an expired registration, and was arrested at 8:19 p.m. Nov. 7, at W. Lake Cook and McHenry roads. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 11.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Juan C. Bedolla, 53, of the 20 block of S. Midland Avenue, Mundelein, is accused of driving under the influence, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, operating a commercial motor vehicle while having alcohol in one's system, and was arrested at 5:12 p.m. Nov. 12, at Arlington Heights Road and Alden Lane. A 911 call had been made regarding an impaired driver at a construction site. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 4.

A resident in the 700 block of Weidner Road, Buffalo Grove, reported at 5:49 a.m. Nov. 7, a package from Walmart, delivered by FedEx, was missing from the mail room. FedEx has sent the resident a photo of the package being delivered. The resident said it was the second time it had happened for the same products, the last occurring on Oct. 15.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

  • A citizen reported at 6:40 a.m. Nov. 7, their vehicle, a 2020 Infiniti SUV, had been stolen from a parking lot in the 1400 block of Johnson Drive, Buffalo Grove. Wheeling and Prospect Heights police located the vehicle in Wheeling.
  • A citizen resident called police at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 10, to report their motorcycle, a Yamaha FZ6R, had been stolen from a parking lot in the 800 block of Trace Drive. The citizen said two days prior, he had seen the motorcycle in the parking spot.
