Thief Replaces Harris Signs With Trump Signs: Buffalo Grove PD Blotter

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

FRAUDULENT DRIVER'S LICENSE

Angel F. Lastra, 32, of the 1500 block of Plymouth Circle, Carpentersville, is accused of possessing a fraudulent driver's license, a suspended driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, speeding, warrant out of Kane County, and was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 30, in the 600 block of E. Deerfield Parkway. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 31.

Richard R. Reifschneider, 56, of the 100 block of Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, failure to notify owner of damaged vehicle, operating of a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, and was arrested at 8 p.m. Nov. 1, in the 1500 block of E. Deerfield Parkway. Police had responded to the parking lot at Woodman's Grocery for a report a car, driven by Reifschneider, had struck two parked vehicles. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 20.

INCIDENTS

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A resident in the 800 block of W. Thompson Boulevard reported at 11:01 p.m. Nov. 1, her vehicle had been damaged. Someone had written a racial slur on the trunk and passenger side rear fender of the car.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A citizen called police at 1:24 a.m. Nov. 3, to report a suspicious incident in the 1100 block of Johnson Drive. The person said they had been skateboarding in the parking lot when he saw a male in a black hoodie, black pants, and another thin male wearing all black clothing, pulling on car handles. When the two males saw him, they ran behind the apartment building in an unknown direction. Police contacted the owner of one of the cars, who said she didn't notice anything missing.

THEFT

A resident in the 800 block of Indian Spring Lane reported at 8:26 a.m. Nov. 5, three Harris/Walz political signs were missing from her front yard, and had been replaced by Trump signs.
