Drunken Driver Found With Empty Booze In Car: Buffalo Grove PD Blotter

The Arlington Heights resident, charged with several crimes, was arrested in the 1200 block of McHenry Road.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Angel Trejo, 18, of the 2300 block of Nichols Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended license, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, speeding 11-14 mph over the limit, illegal transportation of alcohol, and was arrested at 12:40 a.m. Jan. 22, in the 1200 block of McHenry Road. Following his arrest, police found two empty Skrewball shooters and a tall Modelo Chelada beer can. Trejo was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 6.

  • Benito Antonio-Valencia, 46, of the 2100 block of N. Ginger Creek Drive, Palatine, is accused of having a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, having an expired registration, a warrant out of Cook County for driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 23, in the 1000 block of Weiland Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 24.
  • Fernando Zarate, 30, of the 1800 block of Goodwin Drive, Palatine, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a suspended vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 8:55 p.m. Jan. 23, at W. Dundee Road and Huntington Lane. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 28.
  • Oscar Ramirez, 47, of the 200 block of 7th Street, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, using an electronic communication device on a roadway, and was arrested at 12:02 p.m. Jan. 16, at W. Lake Cook and McHenry roads. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 14.
