Drunken Driver Nabbed With Weapon: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

The Wheeling resident was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, driving under the influence, and illegal transportation of alcohol.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON

Nestor Pidluzhnyy, 18, of the 700 block of Drae Court, Wheeling, is accused of unlawful use of a weapon, driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, and was arrested at 2:52 a.m. May 15, in the 200 block of Old Oak Court West, Buffalo Grove. A court date of June 18 was assigned.

RESISTING A PEACE OFFICER

  • Pavel Serakhan, 35, of the 400 block of Buckthorn Terrace, Buffalo Grove, is accused of resisting a peace officer, and was arrested at 5:02 a.m. May 16, in the 200 block of Lexington. A court date of June 13 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

  • Jerry P. Booth, 72, of the 1100 block of Woodbury Lane, Wheeling, is accused of driving under the influence, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 11:13 p.m. May 16, in the 20 block of E. Dundee Road. A court date of June 3 was assigned.
  • Jose L. Samano-Alvear, 46,of the 100 block of Beverly Lane, Wheeling, is accused of aggravated DUI, driving on a revoked driver's license, and was arrested at 5:47 p.m May 17, in the 1200 block of W. Dundee Road. A court date of May 21 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

RETAIL THEFT

  • A male stole 31 baseball cards with a minimum value of $395 at 1:34 p.m. May 16, at Chicagoland Sports Cards, 793 S. Buffalo Grove Road.
  • A male stole a container of hair gel, valued at $6.97, at 10:23 a.m. May 18, from Woodman's, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A vehicle was keyed between the dates of May 14 and May 16 in the 70 block of S. Buffalo Grove Road.
