Man Tries To Use $100 Counterfeit Bill: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

ARRESTS

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE

• Keirra Sherise Brown, 28, of the 1200 block of Villa Vista Drive, Round Lake Beach, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper taillights, and was arrested at 9:39 p.m. May 7, at Lake Cook and N. Buffalo Grove roads. A court date of June 13 was assigned.
• Mason Ania Onae Nolad, 22, of the 2700 block of Hebron Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving on a revoked license, driving with expired plates, and was arrested at 8:28 p.m. May 8, at Weiland Road and Abbott Court. A court date of June 13 was assigned.
• Trumaine J. Travis, 35, of the 1100 block of Hickory Street, Waukegan, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with expired plates, operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended, and was arrested at 10:08 p.m. May 8, at Lake Cook and McHenry roads. A court date of June 20 was assigned.
• Jose D. Jimenez-Cardenas, 44, of the 20 block of N. Ridgemoor Avenue, Mundelin, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with expired plates, and was arrested at 4:34 p.m. May 9, at Weiland Road and Abbott Court. A court date of June 20 was assigned.

DRIVING ON A REVOKED LICENSE

Jose A. Ortiz, 21, of the 500 block of Love Drive, Prospect Heights, is accused of driving on a revoked license, illegal display of registration plate, and was arrested at 11:24 p.m. May 7, in the 800 block of Golfview Terrace. A court date of June 5 was assigned.

A male tried to purchase merchandise with a counterfeit $100 bill at 7:02 a.m. May 11, at the Shell gas station, 185 Milwaukee Ave.
