An intoxicated man told police officer he would kill the cop and family; maskless restaurant customer gets feisty: Buffalo Grove Blotter.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Marcus Anthony Rodriguez, 38, of the 300 block of E Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove, is accused of being a fugitive from justice, and was arrested at 5:05 p.m. July 18. He was given a bond of $280 and a court date of Aug. 20 in Rolling Meadows.

Kyle Christian Hurley, 26, of the 4600 block of Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows, is accused of leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage, illegal lane usage, failure to reduce speed, damage to village property, and was arrested at 10:26 p.m. July 18. He was given a court date of Sept. 18 in Mundelein.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • Nathaniel Luis Arons, 31, of the 1400 block of Mill Creek Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving with a suspended/revoked driver's license, speeding (61 mph in a 35 mph zone), and was arrested at 5:39 a.m. July 17 in the 200 block of W Dundee Road. He was given a bond of $2,500 and a court date of Aug. 21 in Mundelein.
  • Alfred Marmi Jenzeh, 47, of the 20500 block of N. Celia Avenue, Prairie View, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license, operating a vehicle when the registration is suspended/revoked, operating an uninsured vehicle, and was arrested at 6:46 p.m. July 18 near Highland Oaks Plaza. He was given a $3,000 bond and a court date of Aug. 12 in Waukegan.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

  • Stanislav Factorovich, 57, of the 1400 block of Margate Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal possession/transportation of liquor, and was arrested at 8:43 p.m. July 22 in the 1100 block of Weiland Road. According to police, Factorovich was found asleep at the wheel of a work van that had hit a curb on the roadway before turning into a parking lot on Weiland Road. A 911 wellness check had been called. After being booked at the police station, Factorovich was driven to his home and told to stay off the street due to his level of intoxication. Factorovich walked toward his house before heading back toward the squad car, shouting expletives and threatening to kill the officer and his family, according to police. He then balled up his fists and began to raise his arms into a fighting stance. Backup police were called, and Factorovih was eventually handcuffed and put back in the squad car until a family member calmed him down. He was given a $1,000 bond and a court date of Aug. 19 in Waukegan.
  • Gamaliel Garcia, 39, of the 1500 block of N Winslowe Drive, Palatine, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, illegal lane usage, and was arrested at 10:58 p.m. July 17 in the 1100 block of Lake Cook Road. He was given a bond of $1,000 and a court date of Aug. 19 in Waukegan.

INCIDENTS

FRAUD

  • A Courtland Drive business owner reported at 9:26 a.m. July 16 that an unknown person had fraudulently cashed three online checks from his business bank account totaling $23,220.
  • A Golfview Terrace resident called police at 7:39 p.m. July 19 to report fraudulent activity on a shared bank account. A transfer of $6,000 was moved from their savings account to their checking account. An online transfer in the amount of $14,900 was made. Neither transaction was authorized.

IDENTITY THEFT

A number of incidents involving fraudulent activity associated with unemployment benefits and phony Illinois Department of Employment Security accounts and debit cards were reported around the village. Police are reminding residents to be careful in giving out any personal information to third party organizations and individuals.

BURGLARY WITH FORCIBLE ENTRY

Police responded to a burglary alarm at 4:09 a.m. July 18 at a business in the 1000 block of Weiland Road. Upon arrival, it was discovered the front glass of the store was shattered. The owner believes 70-80 cigarette cartons, each costing between $80-100, had been stolen.

PUBLIC COMPLAINT

Construction workers on a job in the 300 block of Satinwood Terrace called police at 12:14 p.m. July 23 to report a resident had accused them of taking Starbucks coffee left for a neighbor, which they denied. The workers said the resident yelled at them and then went back into the house. As the workers will be on the job site for several weeks, they wanted to document the incident.

NOISE COMPLAINT

A resident in the 200 block of Rosewood Avenue reported at 1:35 a.m. July 18 that they were having ongoing issues with neighbors regarding loud music and nightly fireworks. The neighbors were contacted and told they would receive citations for ordinance violations following the next occurrence.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A resident in the 100 block of Forest Place called police at 5:27 p.m. July 17 to report that over the past eight weeks, their property has been targeted by unknown individuals who have egged and thrown water balloons at the front/sides of the home, written "pig" in the dirt on the side of their Village of Northbrook owned SUV, dented the rear hatch door of the SUV, written "pig" in chalk on the sidewalk near the front of the house, sent large pizza orders to their home, and caused around $1,000 in damage to several bushes and a tree on the property. The landscaping was possibly damaged by a chemical contained within a balloon. The resident reported on the night of July 15 a black man, 6-foot tall and over 200 pounds, walking away from the back of the SUV.

CUSTOMER/MANAGER DISPUTE

A manager at Mi Mexico Restaurant, 220 N Milwaukee Avenue, reported at 2:08 p.m. July 23 a customer walked into the restaurant without a mask on. After being asked several times, the customer complied. Later, the customer intentionally walked into the manager and the latter slightly pushed the customer to get them away. The customer got upset and told the manager to go outside for a fight. After the customer calmed down, they were allowed to finish their meal but told to never return to the restaurant. The customer left a bad review on the restaurant's Facebook page, according to the manager.
