Endangered Missing Man Located, Reunited With Family: Wheeling PD

A search that included rescue dogs started last week when the nonverbal 45-year-old went missing.

WHEELING, IL — A missing Wheeling man has been located safe and has been reunited with family. Police said the nonverbal 45-year-old was endangered when a search started March 11 after he had last been seen that night walking southbound on Milwaukee Avenue at Palatine Road.

Later in the week, Illinois-Wisconsin Search & Rescue dogs determined who was last seen just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, walked southbound on Milwaukee Avenue at Palatine Road.

The Wheeling Police Department thanked the search dogs and "everyone who assisted in our investigation."
