Woodlawn Middle School Raising Funds for Children's Memorial Hospital

District 96 students of Woodlawn Middle School are kicking off a fundraising event to raise money for Children's Memorial Hospital on March 19th, 2012. Student Council members have been organizing the fundraiser over the past several weeks. This past weekend, students' Danielle Wachter and Rachel McCoy, attended the Children's Memorial Dance Marathon, where Danielle Wachter independently raised $510 earning her and a friend the privilige of attending the event where kids and families serviced by the hospital provide support and inspiration for the dance doners--kids throughout Chicagoland united in the cause of helping children with life-threatening disabilities like spinal bifida and brain tumors. Woodlawn student council hopes to raise as much money in one week as possible and host its own mini-marathon to culminate a year of children helping children.
