Jason Miller, operator of Fitness 19 in Arlington Heights, said the goal is to demonstrate the strong community focus the business is patterned after.

“We are very community-driven here; we strive to develop personal relationships with our members to better understand their needs,” Miller said. “We are a very family-friendly place, our goal is to build a strong relationship with this community.”

Fitness 19 was named Emerging Business of the Year winner in January by the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce, and offers a boutique-style health club experience, which equates to a strong employee-to-member interaction than traditional clubs normally offer, Miller said.

Month-to-month memberships are available at the 7,000-square-foot facility, and include the use of a wide variety of cardio equipment and weights, yoga classes and two gratis personal training sessions. Childcare is also offered for an additional cost.
