BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

Human Totonchi, 23, of the 16600 block of W. Brockman Avenue, Lincolnshire, is accused of driving on a suspended license, unlawful use of a weapon, and was arrested at 8:13 a.m. Dec. 11, at N. Buffalo Grove and Sandalwood roads. During a search of Totonchi's car, police reportedly found a loaded handgun with a round in the chamber and a full 14-round magazine. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 30.

  • Maxim Y. Nichuev, 22, of the 800 block of Trace Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 1:05 a.m. Dec. 12, at Taco Bell, 50 W. Dundee Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 8, 2025.
  • William B. O'Brien, 36, of the 1500 block of Busch Parkway, Buffalo Grove, is accused of DUI drugs, and was arrested at 1:57 a.m. Dec. 17, at Woodman's Grocery. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 15, 2025.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A resident in the 800 block of Indian Spring Lane reported at 4:38 pm. Dec. 13, someone had cut the wires of Christmas string lights he had on the front bushes of the home.
