Shahnaz Hansen, an Iranian immigrant, visited fourth graders at Kilmer Elementary School in Buffalo Grove on Wednesday, January 13.
Students have been studying immigration and spent time asking Hansen about her experiences growing up in Iran, the differences between school, government, and culture in the U.S. and Iran, and her decision to move to the United States at the age of 18.
