Long Grove Apple Festival Begins Today

Long Grove’s annual Apple Festival begins today (Sept. 30) and runs through Oct. 2 in the village’s historic downtown.

The outdoor event, which stretches along the business district, features apple-themed food and beverages, such as fresh apples, donuts, cider, lattes and martinis. Entertainment (see attached schedule) will include musicians and apple pie and ice cream eating contests.

Children’s activities include pony rides, kiddie rides, face painting and educational booths.
