Man Caught Damaging Gas Pump: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

Police said he was later identified and was given an adjudication citation for damage to property, as well as a trespass warning.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

Jonathan A. Pustilnik, 37, of the 2000 block of N. Honore Street, Chicago, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended, driver not wearing a seatbelt, and was arrested at 11:54 a.m. Jan. 16, at Buffalo Grove and Church roads. A court date of Feb. 20 was assigned.

Konrad S. Jasiewicz, 39, of the 500 block of W. Happfield Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving on a revoked license, operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended, and was arrested at 3:44 p.m. Jan. 27, at Arlington Heights Road and Bernard Drive. A court date of March 12 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

  • Frederick C. Jackson, 65, of the 100 block of Lake Boulevard, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence, and was arrested at 5:38 pm. Jan. 18, in the 100 block of Lake Boulevard. A court date of March 12 was assigned.
  • Francisco Mejia Pu, 20, of the 1400 block of Chippewa Trail, Wheeling, is accused of DUI, and was arrested at 9:32 p.m. Jan. 19, in the 1500 block of E. Deerfield Parkway. A court date of Feb. 11 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS

A resident in the 50 block of W. Dundee Road reported at 4:30 a.m. Jan. 16, a catalytic converter from a 2017 Honda CRV.

THEFT

A resident in the 2100 block of Brandywyn reported at 9:38 a.m. Jan. 19, two packages were stolen off the front porch.

RETAIL THEFT

A store in the 1500 block of E. Deerfield Parkway reported at 4:21 p.m. Jan. 23, a female had stolen various food items, and left the store without paying. She was later identified, and an adjudication citation for retail theft and trespass warning was issued.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

It was reported at 2:39 p.m. Jan. 27, a man had damaged a gas pump at a business in the 1500 block of E. Deerfield Parkway. He was later identified, and was given an adjudication citation for damage to property, as well as a trespass warning.
