BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

  • Susan C. Stoesser, 55, of the 3000 block of Walker Lane, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, illegal transportation/possession of alcoholic liquor by driver, and was arrested at 1:50 p.m. Oct. 12, at Buffalo Grove Road and St. Mary's Parkway. She was assigned a court date of Nov. 3.
  • Susan C. CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO PROPERTY

Rheem B. Muhammed, 32, of the 6000 block of Oglesby Avenue, Chicago, is accused of criminal trespass to residence, criminal trespass to property, and was arrested at 6:10 a.m. Oct. 9, in the 0-100 block of Oak Creek Drive. He was assigned a court date of Nov. 24.

SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • Christopher Dale Washington, 59, of the 500 block of 8th Street, Waukegan, is accused of driving with a suspended driver's license, obstructing identification, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving 11-14 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 5:36 p.m. Oct. 9, at Asbury Drive and Barclay Boulevard. He was assigned a court date of Oct. 25.
  • Stephanie A. Sutherland, 36, of the 2000 block of 31st Street, Zion, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, operating an uninsured vehicle, and was arrested at 11:34 p.m. Oct. 13, at Deerfield Parkway and Milwaukee Avenue. She was assigned a court date of Nov. 12.

INCIDENTS

CUSTOMER/MANAGEMENT DISPUTE

  • An employee of Zoro, 900 block of Ashbury Drive, reported at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 11, a harassing telephone call where a person became very belligerent and was swearing at a customer service rep when they couldn't assist him. The upset person told the rep that he will be coming to the business tomorrow to speak with the CEO. No threat was made during the conversation.
  • An employee of Noodles and Company, 1209 W. Dundee Road, reported at 12:36 p.m. Oct. 10, a customer became irate and began yelling profanities after his method of payment failed for the third time. The party left before police arrival and attempts to contact them were unsuccessful.

LANDLORD/TENANT DISPUTE

The landlords of a unit in the 300 block of N. Riverwalk Drive reported at 7:36 p.m. Oct. 11, they were upset because the sublessee would not allow them full access to the apartment. The situation was mediated and the sublessee proposed that they would end their lease early if the sublessors would pay them back what they prepaid. The sublessors agreed.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

A resident of the 1100 block of Cambridge Drive called police at 1:25 a.m. Oct. 18, to report that he witnessed people exit a parked vehicle and lifted a vehicle parked on the driveway with a carjack. He suspected they stole the vehicle's catalytic convertor. Officers checked the vehicle and found the catalytic convertor still intact and there was no observed damage.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

  • A resident in the 0-100 block of Charles Court reported at 7:45 p.m. Oct. 18, a suspicious person who was looking into windows and mailboxes. Officers spoke with the person, who related he was looking at a house that was for sale and wanted to see the area at night. Officers confirmed there was a house for sale near the location and that the person was there yesterday looking at the same home.
  • A resident in the 1200 block of Deerfield Parkway reported at 1:24 p.m. Oct. 24, they woke up to find an unknown person had entered their apartment through the rear patio door. The person left upon seeing the compliant and apologized. Officers were not able to locate the person.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS

A resident in the 400 block of Checker Drive reported at 4 a.m. Oct. 8, a catalytic convertor was stolen from a vehicle parked on the driveway during the overnight hours.

ABANDONED VEHICLE

A property auctioning company reported at 7:35 a.m. Oct. 8, an abandoned vehicle was parked in the parking lot at 150 Hastings Drive. The officer's attempts to locate the registered owner were unsuccessful and the property owner will have the car towed.

THEFT

The store management at Walgreens, 15 N. Buffalo Grove Road, reported at 10:31 a.m. Oct. 8, someone left the store with several bottles of alcohol, valued at over $300, without paying for them.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

An employee at Plexus, 2400 Milbrook Drive, called police at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 8, to report someone had slashed their tires and keyed their car while they were inside working.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO RESIDENCE

A resident in the 0-100 block of Oak Creek Drive reported at 6:10 a.m. Oct. 9, someone was attempting to get in her apartment. Upon arrival, the complainant met police in the common area and told them someone was in her home. Officers made contact with the male, who believed he was in his girlfriend's apartment. A neighbor confirmed they did know the male. The male was charged with criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to a residence.

BATTERY

A person called police at 11:30 p.m. Oct. 9, to report they were involved in a physical altercation with another male at Versailles Restaurant, 100 N. McHenry Road. The complainant reported that the incident took place in the parking lot and the other man went back inside the building. Officers made contact with the other party and no charges were filed since it was a mutual combatant situation.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A resident of the 300 block of Rosewood Avenue, reported at 3:30 a.m. Oct. 19, finding a slipper on one of the steps to her front porch. Police concluded it wasn't a glass slipper.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO GOVERNMENT SUPPORTED PROPERTY

The soap dispensers in the boys and girls bathrooms were found at 4 p.m. Oct. 13, ripped from the walls and shoved into the toilets at Emmerich Park West, 150 Raupp Boulevard.

DOG BITE

A dog ran toward and made contact with another dog's paw at 6:20 p.m. Oct. 13, after its owner tripped and let go of its leash.
