Man Fights Cops, Charged With Felonies: Buffalo Grove PD Blotter
The Niles man was pulled over for disobeying a stop sign and it was discovered he had a suspended license, according to police.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Ruben A. Rendon-Soriano, 24, of the 1800 block of N. Keystone Avenue, Chicago, is accused of having an expired registration, operating a motor vehicle with no valid license, and was arrested at 5:32 p.m. Jan. 8, at N. Milwaukee Avenue and E. Deerfield Parkway. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 14.

- Eduardo Jose Fernandez-Ochoa, 22, of the 400 block of Inland Drive, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a suspended license, improperly displaying an Illinois drive away permit, and was arrested at 9:32 a.m. Jan. 8, in the 50 block of W. Lake Cook Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 14.
- Victor Rivera, 27, of the 400 block of E. Spruce Drive, Palatine, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, traffic light infractions, and was arrested at 9:36 p.m. Jan. 9, at W. Dundee Road and Vernon Lane. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 14.
AGGRAVATED BATTERY
Mark J. Chimon, 36, of the 9000 block of N. Clifton Avenue, Niles, is accused of two felony counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer, aggravated assault to a peace officer, unlawful resisting a peace officer, having a suspended license, and was arrested at 11:40 p.m. Jan. 10, at Carriage Way Drive and E. Dundee Road. According to police, Chimon was pulled over for disobeying a stop sign and it was discovered he had a suspended license. When police attempted to arrest him, Chimon reportedly began to resist and fight officers. He was released from custody and assigned a court date of Jan. 17.

INCIDENTS
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
Police responded to the 300 block of Stillwell Drive at 3:41 p.m. Jan. 11, for a report of a residential "ruse" burglary. The homeowner told police that three people arrived at her front door and knocked. As the homeowner was talking with one of them, the two others entered the home from the back door. The man at the front door encouraged the resident to get her coat and come outside. The homeowner realized what was going on and the two walked out the back door. The homeowner found empty jewelry boxes on the floor in her bedroom.
