Money Stolen From Dollar Tree After Break-In: Buffalo Grove PD Blotter

Police said a vacant unit that connects to the Dollar Tree was also broken into.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

  • Helen Soloveychik, 47, of the 300 block of 9th Street, Wheeling, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, having no headlights, and was arrested at 2:50 a.m. May 9 in the 100 block of S. Buffalo Grove Road. She was released and assigned a court date of May 29.
  • Christopher Keanu Garcia, 18, of the 2700 block of N. Rutherford Avenue, Chicago, is accused of DUI alcohol, illegal lane usage, and was arrested at 1:54 a.m. May 12, at Lake Cook Road and Hasting Drive, following a report of a car accident.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED/SUSPENDED

  • Andrew E. Santillanes, 45, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, warrant out of Winnebago County for failure to appear in court, and was arrested at 7:14 p.m. May 9, at E. Lake Cook and Weiland roads. He was released and assigned a court date of June 21.
  • Darius Alexander Pulley, 29, of the 1700 block of Golf Road, Waukegan, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, had a warrant out of Lake County for bond forfeiture (traffic offense), and was arrested at 9:32 p.m. May 10, at E. Lake Cook and Weiland roads. He was released on the new charges and then taken to the Lake County Jail for the warrant. A court date of June 14 was assigned.
  • Caleb L. Rosendo, 19, of the 1200 block of Townline Road, Mundelein, is accused of driving on a suspended license, improper display of registration, violation of instructor permit for motorcycles, and was arrested at 4:14 p.m. May 11, at N. Arlington Heights Road and Mill Creek Drive. He was released and assigned a court date of June 21.

BATTERY

Iaroslava Dardagan, 65, of the 1200 block of Franklin Lane, Buffalo Grove, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 12:21 a.m. May 11, in the 1200 block of Franklin Lane. She was released and assigned a court date of May 30.

INCIDENTS

THEFT

Police responded at 7:35 p.m. May 8, for a report of a theft at Dairy Queen, 702 S. Buffalo Grove Road. A complainant told police they had placed their bike in a bike rack at the northeast corner of the Garden Fresh Market at around 4:50 p.m.

BURGLARY

Police responded to a delayed burglary at 7:33 a.m. May 11, at Dollar Tree, 1212 W. Dundee Road. Police found broken glass near the southwest window and missing currency. A vacant unit that connects to the Dollar Tree was also broken into.

RETAIL THEFT

Police responded at 6:40 p.m. May 12, for a report of retail theft at Walgreens, 15 N. Buffalo Grove Road. A woman had left the store without paying for merchandise. She was eventually found near the area, returned to the store and gave back the stolen merchandise. She was issued a trespass warning and an adjudication ticket for retail theft.
