Pair With Gun Steal Catalytic Converter: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter
A witness saw the crime and called police, who searched the area for the two men.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT A LICENSE

Stefany N. Duarte Solis, 22, of the 13 block of Dundee Quarter Drive, Palatine, is accused of operating a motor vehicle with no license, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 10:28 p.m. Oct. 20, on S. Arlington Heights Road. They were released and were assigned a court date of Nov. 6.

INCIDENTS
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS
- A resident in the 0-10 block of Villa Verde Drive reported at 7:41 a.m. Oct. 18, that they had noticed their car was much louder when they started it. They looked under the car and noticed it was missing the catalytic converter. The theft had occurred during the overnight hours.
- A citizen reported at 1:13 a.m. Oct. 20, she had seen two men near a vehicle in the 1700 block of Johnson Drive. One was underneath the vehicle, while another was nearby and appeared to be holding a gun. Police searched the area, but the suspects had fled before their arrival. The car the suspects were near was missing a catalytic converter.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
A resident in the 1000 block of Auburn Lane called police to report that between 12:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Oct. 18, someone threw a rock through her bedroom window.
RETAIL THEFT
Police responded to Aldi Foods, 1202 W. Dundee Road, at 11:37 a.m. Oct. 20, for a retail theft report. An employee told police that two men walked out of the store with a cart full of items without paying for them. The employee saw the men loading up their trunk from across the parking lot. The men appeared to be in their 20s and between 5-foot-8 and 6-foot. One wore white shoes, gray sweatpants, a black winter jacket, and a gray baseball cap. The second wore gray shoes, black pants, black jacket with a gray hoodie. They parked west of Aldi, near AutoZone. They left in a dark blue older model Ford Escape.
