BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Shadeed R. Love, 41, of the 23700 block of Jonathan Lane, Crete, had a warrant out of Buffalo Grove for fleeing to elude a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested by Saulk Village police at 11:05 p.m. Feb. 26, at Dundee and S. Buffalo Grove roads. Bond was set at $50,000.
NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Yevgeniy V. Zelenyy, 52, of the 100 block of Old Oak Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of operating a motor vehicle with no valid driver's license, speeding (57 mph in a 35 mph zone), and was arrested at 8 a.m. March 16, at Buffalo Grove and Weiland roads. They were released on bond and assigned a court date of May 13.

INCIDENTS
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
- A Sheridan Road resident reported at 6:39 p.m. March 1, someone broke into their home when they weren't there and ransacked all the bedrooms. Police found no signs of forced entry. The total loss of jewelry, according to the homeowner, is $28,000. A coin collection, worth $10,000, is also missing, as well as $100 in cash.
- A resident at a building in the 100 block of Old Oak Drive called police at 8:50 a.m. March 21, to report someone forced open the locked door in the main foyer, entered the building and forced open the door to the mailroom. The person then forced open two banks of mailboxes.
ARMED ROBBERY
An employee of Dev Liquor, 1100 block of N. McHenry Road, called police at 11:07 p.m. March 14, to report someone came into the store with a knife and took money from the cash register. The person left the area in an unknown direction.
CUSTOMER/MANAGEMENT DISPUTE
An employee at Garden Fresh Market, 700 block of S. Buffalo Grove Road, reported at 8:06 p.m. March 16, a customer had a service dog in the store, but refused to show proof it was a service dog. The employee said they had received several complaints from customers in the store regarding the dog. The employee said the dog was hovering over the produce, so they confronted the customer about it. The employee told the customer to put the dog down, which they refused to do, saying it was a service dog and allowed in the store. Police told the employee the dog was permitted in the store and that the owner didn't need to provide paperwork.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES
An Indian Hill Drive resident reported on March 22 that at some time between March 7 and March 9, someone stole their catalytic converter from their vehicle. They found out it was missing after taking the car to the mechanic.
