Police Chief Named 2020 Law Enforcement Official Of The Year

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Buffalo Grove Police Chief Steven Casstevens has been honored by the Illinois Security Professionals Association as the 2020 Law Enforcement Official of the Year.

The 59th Annual Awards Gala was hosted virtually this year on Tuesday, where Casstevens was presented with the award by Dennis Gano, executive director of the ISPA, according to a release.

“Chief Casstevens has been awarded for his distinguished service, his history in law enforcement and going above and beyond the performance of his duties,” Gano said in the release.

Gano also made note of the impact Casstevens made during his time as president of both the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

Established in 1961, the ISPA is a statewide organization comprised of private security, law enforcement and public safety professionals who are committed to working together and promoting professional relationships within the industry.
