BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Matthew Samuels , 34, of the 50 block of Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, is accused of felony retail theft, and was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 21, at Nerd Rage Gaming, 1631 W. Dundee Road.

  • Bekboosun Maksatov, 28, of the 600 block of Constitution Drive, Palatine, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a vehicle with license plate covers, transportation of open alcohol by driver, and was arrested at 1:52 p.m. Feb. 19, at Lake Cook Road and Hastings Drive. He was assigned a court date of March 21.
  • Richard J. Mendoza, 33, of the 100 block of Willow Road, Ingleside, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 5:23 p.m. Feb. 20, at Weiland Road and Bentley Place. A court date of March 21 was assigned.

FLEEING TO ELUDE A PEACE OFFICER

Shikita A. Cain, 37, of the 1000 block of Johnson Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of fleeing to elude a peace officer, obstructing a peace officer, driving on a revoked license, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 11:55 a.m. Feb. 20, at Lake Cook and Arlington Heights roads. A court date of March 24 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

  • Dora Hernandez, 27, of the 1400 block of N. Talman Drive, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence, improper lane usage, resisting arrest, and was arrested at 1:56 a.m. Feb. 22, at Arlington Heights Road and University Drive. A court date of March 7 was assigned.
  • Octavio Cervantes-Garcia, 38, of the 800 block of Piper Lane, Prospect Heights, is accused of DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 2:03 a.m. Feb. 23, at Dundee and Weidner roads. A court date of March 12 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

FORGERY

A person passed a counterfeit $100 bill at 8:39 p.m. Feb. 19, to a cashier at Walgreens, 15 N. Buffalo Grove Road.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident in the 40 block of Sunridge Lane called police at 11:41 p.m. Feb. 20, to report arriving home and finding his home ransacked. Jewelry was missing.
