Robert Morris University, District 214 Partner in $1.75 Million Project
The Forest View Educational Center will be upgraded through a joint effort. The project will include a new synthetic field, stadium lights and improvements to the field house.

The Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights is readying for a big upgrade; a $1.75 million improvement project for the stadium and field house.
The project is the result of a partnership between Robert Morris University (RMU) and District 214, and was approved in mid-December.
"I am pleased with the administration's ability to find creative ways to upgrade facilities at minimal cost to taxpayers," said James Perkins, District 214 board president.

Perkins said, "This is another great example of a collaboration resulting in a mutually beneficial project," according to the District 214 website.
The project will include installation of a synthetic field and new stadium lights, in addition to two team locker rooms, a locker room for officials, training room, common area, entry vestibule, scoreboards, scorer table, seating and hardwood floors, the District 214 website states.

St. Viator High School currently uses the stadium for football games.
The costs will be split between RMU and District 214, though the school district will retain ownership of the property.
RMU will have priority usage of the stadium five days a week, St. Viator will have it the remaining two days, and District 214 will have the ability to use the facilities on an emergency basis and when it is not being utilized, the website states.
Construction is expected to begin in May and be completed by August.
