Salata Presents Check To Wheeling Township School District

After a successful month of fundraising through Salata's inaugural "Salata Salutes" give back program, Salata owner Dan Campbell presented a check to Wheeling Township Elementary District 21 Superintendent Kate Hyland for their Katie Samsel Fund. "Salata Salutes" is a monthly initiative to give back to the community by raising money for local non-profits.

These monies will support the Katie Samsel Fund, a fund used to flexibly meet student and family needs as they arise. This fund was recently depleted after supporting families after the recent summer flooding. The generous donation from Salata helped restore funds to continue to support families in these emergency situations, or just helping to cover costs for items like eyeglasses, school supplies, and more.
