BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Maritza Luna Rivera, 61, of the 10 block of Echo Court, Vernon Hills, is accused of driving under the influence, unsafe movement of a stopped vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, transportation of an open alcohol container by driver, and was arrested at 6:24 p.m. March 19, at Lake Cook and Weiland roads. A court date of April 16 was assigned.

SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • Jennifer A. Santiago, 41, of the 1000 block of W. Irving Park Road, Bensenville, is accused of having a suspended driver's license, possession of cannabis, and was arrested at 3:32 p.m. March 21 at W. Lake Cook and N. Arlington Heights roads. A court date of April 14 was assigned.
  • Angel Trejo, 18, of the 2000 block of Nichols Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of having a suspended license, an in-state warrant, and was arrested at 5:19 p.m. March 22, at E. Lake Cook Road and Trak Wi Centra. A court date of April 9 was assigned.
  • Elihu Ochoa, 34, of the 200 block of W 7th Street, Wheeling, is accused of having a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle when registration suspended for noninsurance, and was arrested at 8:17 a.m. March 23, in the 1400 block of Lake Cook Road. A court date of April 11 was assigned.
  • Makail D. Peart, 23, of the 9000 block of Kenton Avenue, Skokie, is accused of having a suspended license, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, unlawful use of license, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested at 5:04 p.m. March 23, in the 1500 block of E. Deerfield Parkway. A court date of April 7 was assigned.

FLEEING A PEACE OFFICER

Jonathan T. Giron, 23, of the 600 block of Ivy Court, Lake Zurich, is accused of fleeing a peace officer, and was arrested at 5:08 p.m. March 24, at W. Lake Cook and Timber Hill roads. A court date of April 8 was assigned.

Business owners in the 700 block of Hastings Lane reported at 10:45 a.m. March 22, finding saw marks on the locking mechanism on a door of their business. Entry was not gained due to the locking mechanism being intact.
