Schneider Wins Chamber Award
Buffalo Grove Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lynne Schneider is the recipient of the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives' Brann Award.

Lynne Schneider, executive director of the , was recognized by her peers Nov. 3 with the Brann Award at the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE) awards dinner held during the annual fall conference
Schneider was instrumental in forming and maintaining a high achieving group of chambers north of I-80 called Biz 6 Plus which provides joint-chamber programming. She is also involved with the North Suburban Chamber of Commerce Executives, which provides a means of networking and support among area chamber executives. As a longtime IACCE board member, she helped grow the association both in value and membership.
In her own chamber, one of her successes was partnering with the to establish Buffalo Grove Days. More than 44 percent of the chamber’s membership was engaged in executing this year’s event.

“The Illinois chamber community is stronger today because of the professionals who lead the way,” Joseph Henning, chairman of the IACCE, said in a statement. “I’ve had the pleasure and honor of working with Lynne for a number of years which has benefited my career and community. She exemplifies the spirit of the Brann Award.”
The Distinguished Illinois Chamber of Commerce Executive Award was begun in 1991 to recognize the exemplary performance and leadership of an Illinois chamber executive within their local chamber, their community and to the chamber profession. The award is named in honor of Lester W. Brann, Jr., the first recipient of the award and past president of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.
