School District 21 leaders share forward-thinking learning
Six School District 21 staff members led presentations, workshops at the annual Illinois Computing Educators' (ICE) Conference.

Six School District 21 staff members led five presentations, including two half-day workshops, at the annual Illinois Computing Educators’ (ICE) Conference. The CCSD21 presenters shared experiences and expertise on topics like Authentic Learning, one of School District 21’s Areas of Focus; managing the Google Apps for Education control panel; creative uses for Google Classroom; and makerspaces in elementary schools.
Each presentation focused on engaging students in learning, supporting staff collaboration, and encouraging innovation to help students learn, themes woven throughout instruction and operations in School District 21.
“Leading professional presentations at an event like ICE not only benefits those attending the presentation, but the presenters, too,” said Adam Denenberg, CCSD21 Director of Information Services. “Teachers reflect on their current practices while preparing for the presentation. Through that reflection and the conversation that takes place during the presentation, the presenter and attendees become even better able to support all students.”
