Sente Introduces Resolution Honoring Illinois Chamber President and CEO Doug Whitley
Springfield, Ill. – On Thursday, State Representative Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, introduced a bipartisan resolution thanking Illinois Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Doug Whitley for his years of dedicated service.
"It has been an honor and privilege to work with President Whitley as we advocated on behalf of issues that are of importance to the Illinois business community,” Sente said. “While he will be greatly missed in his retirement, I am certain we will continue to collaborate on vital pro-business initiatives that will help to put Illinois’ economy back on track for years to come.”
House Resolution 1176 was unanimously adopted in the House with a total of 21 co-sponsors from both sides of the aisle. Sente’s introduction of this resolution comes in response to the strong partnership they have shared due to her status as a former business owner and Chair of the House Business Growth and Incentives Committee. Last fall, Sente and Whitley co-hosted a business roundtable with Lake County Partners to discuss the economic challenges with local business owners.
