Sex Offender Unlawfully Enters School Zone: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE

• Ashley S. Wright, 40, of the 100 block of Morris Street, Joliet, is accused of driving on a suspended license, disobeying a traffic control device, and was arrested at 12:46 a.m. Feb. 26, in the 100 block of Dundee Road. A court date of March 20 was assigned.
• Kimberly Williams, 44, of the 1100 block of Inverrary Lane, Deerfield, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic communication device, and was arrested at 5:26 p.m. Feb. 26, at Lake Cook Road and Hastings Drive. A court date of March 20 was assigned.
• Neo X. Rodriguez, 24, of the 400 block of Marvin Place, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a suspended license, driving with expired plates, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 10:14 a.m. March 1, in the 400 block of Marvin Place, Wheeling. A court date of March 20 was assigned.
• Dalinda Garcia Timoteo, 38, of the 100 block of N. Saint James Street, Waukegan, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended, and was arrested at 12:26 a.m. March 4, in the 30 block of Timberhill Drive. A court date of March 20 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Kevin U. Santiago Royin, 22, of the 0-100 block of Wellington Avenue, Mundelein, is accused of driving under the influence, parking improperly at curb, and was arrested at 12:54 a.m. Feb. 28, at Checker and Farrington drives. A court date of March 18 was assigned.
• Robert W. Nedler, 64, of the 6700 block of Dunham Road, Union, is accused of DUI, speeding, and was arrested at 9:42 p.m. March 3, at Arlington Heights and Lake Cook roads. A court date of March 25 was assigned.

REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER

Carl U. Schmidt, 59, of the 300 block of Melinda Lane, Buffalo Grove, is accused of having an unlawful presence within a school zone as a registered sex offender, and was arrested at 12:06 p.m. Feb. 27, at the Buffalo Grove Police Department. A court date of March 4 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS

During the overnight hours of Feb. 26, catalytic converters were stolen off two vehicles parked in the 100 block of S. Buffalo Grove Road.

THEFT

A BMX bicycle was reported stolen at 9:36 p.m. March 2, after it had been left unattended near a sidewalk in the 1000 block of Courtland Drive.

BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

A complainant reported at 9:30 a.m. March 3, that the rear side window of her car had been broken, and her purse was stolen from inside the vehicle, in the 800 block of McHenry Road.
