BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

  • Hector Guerra, 31, of the 100 block of South Parkway, Prospect Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 11:19 p.m. Feb. 7, at E. Dundee Road and Carriage Way Drive. He was released on a $3,500 I-Bond and was assigned a court date of March 11.
  • Robert John Ellefsen, 53, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 4:52 a.m. Feb. 13, at Lake Cook and McHenry roads. He was released on an I-Bond and was assigned a court date of March 2.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

  • Juan C. Carrillo, 28, of the 1100 block of N. Boxwood Drive, Mount Prospect, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, and was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Feb. 15, in the 200 block of Lake Boulevard, Buffalo Grove. He was released after posting bond and was assigned a court date of March 18.
  • Terrell Mon-Tic Ellison, 29, of the 900 block of N. Countryside, Palatine, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 4:03 p.m. Feb. 19, in the 1000 block of E. Lake Cook Road. He was released after posting bond and assigned a court date of March 11.
  • Pavel Fedoseev, 24, of the 0-100 block of Oak Creek Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle, driving a vehicle with an expired registration, and was arrested at 9:40 p.m. Feb. 20, in the 900 block of W. Dundee Road. He was released after posting bond and was assigned a court date of March 11.

FORGERY

Oliver Garcia, 19, of the 3000 block of 20th Place, North Chicago, is accused of forgery, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and was arrested at 3:55 p.m. Feb. 17, at First Midwest Bank, 500 block of W. Dundee Road. Police had been called to the bank for a report of a customer trying to cash a fake check. During his arrest, police reported finding a Glock 19 semi-automatic pistol with a 24-round capacity magazine, containing 23 rounds.

UNWANTED PERSON

An employee of Anytime Fitness, 1200 block of W. Dundee Road, called police at 9:41 p.m. Feb. 18, to report a man, who wasn't a member of the gym, was attempting to access the gym. When police arrived to talk to the man, they discovered Jacob R. Ledbetter, 19, no known address, had three active warrants out of Lake County, and was arrested at 10:11 p.m. He was taken to Lake County Jail for a bond hearing.

INCIDENTS

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A person reported his vehicle was parked in a parking garage in the 300 block of Towne Place Circle on Feb. 10 and when he returned to it the next day, his work laptop was missing from the vehicle. He told police his car wasn't locked at the time of the incident and he didn't see any damage on the vehicle. Property management had a video of the incident that showed a man open an exterior door to the parking garage and enter it at 5:50 a.m. Feb. 11.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

An employee at Wendy's, 300 block of Half Day Road, called police at 1:20 a.m. Feb. 17, to report a man had been coming into the restaurant the last few days and spending up to eight hours sitting in the dining room until closing time. The employee said on this night, he came to the door and asked her to come to his car and provide jumper cables to help jump his disabled car. While police discussed the situation at the restaurant with the employee, the man came to the door and the employee confirmed it was him. Police told the man they were there to help jump his car, but he didn't believe them and became argumentative. Police told the employee that if the man continued to loiter, they could ban him from the property.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO VEHICLE

A resident of Silver Rock Lane reported at 8:57 a.m. Feb. 17, someone entered her husband's pickup truck earlier that morning while it was parked in the driveway. A ring doorbell video captured the incident. Nothing was taken from the truck.

THEFT

An employee of Sushi Grove, 100 block of N. McHenry Road reported at 7:05 p.m. Feb. 18, two women had earlier left the restaurant without paying for their food. They had originally told the employee they weren't going to pay for the food because it came out late, but then agreed to pay after dinner. The women later left the establishment without paying their $52 tab.

ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A resident of the 800 block of Trace Drive called police at 1:24 p.m. Feb. 19, to report when they arrived home earlier, they parked in the first spot on the west side of the parking lot, went inside their condo and returned 20 minutes later. They found the rear window of their Toyota Highlander shattered.
