Theft Charge For Teen For Car Break-Ins: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

Police said the Glenview resident was part of a group going through cars parked in driveways.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Sam A. Gruszeczki, 18, of the 700 block of Glenshire Road, Glenview, is accused of theft (possession of stolen property), and was arrested at 3:45 a.m. Oct. 21, at Brandywyn Lane and W. Thompson Boulevard. Police responded to the 900 bloc of Chaucer Way for a report of subjects in the area possibly going through vehicles parked in driveways. Police found Gruszeczki, who was in possession of stolen property from vehicles in the area. He was released on $2,500 bond and was assigned a court date of Nov. 16.

  • William M. Redding, 54, of the 700 block of Rockland Avenue, Lake Bluff, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 2:18 a.m. Oct. 28, in the 2100 block of Lake Cook Road. Policd saw a car traveling eastbound on Lake Cook Road at a high rate of speed (64 mph in a 45 mph zone) and stopped it. He was released on a $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of Dec. 14.
  • Aiden K. Osakada, 18, of the 4200 block of W. Lake Avenue, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 3:35 a.m. Oct 29 in the 0-20 block of N. Thompson Court. Police responded to the area for a report of a traffic crash. He was released after posting a $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of Nov. 16.
  • Jonathon Flores, 26, of the 600 block of S. Jackson, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 12:57 a.m. Oct. 30, in the 800 block of W. Lake Cook Road. Police saw a car without activated tail lights and also using lanes improperly when they pulled Flores over. He was released on a $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of Nov. 16.
  • Savva Zudin, 22, of the 1100 block of Miller Lane, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 3:13 a.m. Nov. 1, at Lake Cook and Weiland roads. He was released after posting bond.

INCIDENTS

DISOBEYING OFFICER SIGNAL

While driving eastbound on Lake Cook Road from McHenry Road at 11:58 p.m. Oct. 28, police saw a vehicle driving westbound with no front plates attached and heavily tinted windows. Police caught up to the vehicle at Lake Cook and Schaefer roads, and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to stop and continued westbound at a high rate of speed. The car then entered the ramp onto Route 53 south.
