Thief Returns To Store To Pay For Groceries: Buffalo Grove PD Blotter

The incident occurred at Woodman's and the male was trespassed from the store, according to police.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Taras Yaremko, 46, of the 900 block of Country Lane, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, having an expired registration, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 9:47 p.m. Sept. 1, at W. Lake Cook and Weidner roads. He was released after posting $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of Oct. 16.

RETAIL THEFT

Police were called to Woodman's, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway, at 12:51 p.m. Sept. 3, for a reported retail theft. An employee told police that a male had placed merchandise in a shopping cart and left the store without paying. Police said he would later return to the store to pay for the items and was trespassed from the store.
