BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

  • Ram J. Kailey, 48, of the 2300 block of N. Old Hicks Road, Palatine, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, and was arrested at 4:24 p.m. Oct. 6, in the 200 block of McHenry Road. A court date of Oct. 25 was assigned.
  • Sergey Aristov, 46, of the 1300 block of Bristol Lane, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, improper traffic lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 6:02 p.m. Oct. 6, following a car crashing into a home investigation in the 1300 block of Bristol Lane. He was released and was assigned a court date of Oct. 25.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

  • A driver reported at 10:51 p.m. Oct. 5, that someone broke her rear passenger window in the 100 block of Steeple Drive. She said she heard a loud pop noise in the parking lot, looked out her front window and saw a male in his late teens run from her car back to the driver's side of another vehicle. The male then drove the car, described as a black Sedan, westbound on Lake Cook Drive.
  • A resident in the 100 block of Armstrong Drive reported at 7:11 a.m. Oct. 6, they noticed the rear right window of their car was broken when they were leaving for work. Police observed damage to the window trim where the window was pried out from.

RETAIL THEFT

Police responded to Jewel, 79 McHenry Road, at 8:22 p.m. Oct. 7, for a retail theft report. Police met with a complainant, who said someone stole seven bottles of alcohol without paying.
